Totoka Hair & Make Up

Totoka Hair and Makeup did bridal hair styling and makeup for my wedding. I originally contacted Leanne in 2019/2020 in regards to their services for my wedding but due to Covid, my wedding was constantly postponed. Leanne was incredibly helpful, patient, and stayed in contact while we navigated postponing our wedding several times. We were finally able to make it to Fiji in 2022 and Rani did my hair and makeup for the big day. The makeup look I opted for turned out to be wonderful and held up well, despite the rain, as did my hair which I also loved. Rani also helped me to get ready on the day and I am so grateful to the team for everything, especially with the two year delay. Thank you Leanne and Rani!

Her exquisite henna art, the way she styled my hair and makeup exactly as I wanted with such minimal guidance, and the extra care she put in throughout our sessions not only made our wedding day effortless for me, but beyond memorable. We're so appreciative they helped us create the visual we had in mind by special ordering the white henna we were seeking.

Totoka have recently introduced waxing to their salon. I've always struggled to get a good wax in Nadi and find the prices ridiculous so often hold off until a weekend in Suva. Well no more need! Totoka was amazing, super affordable and the best wax I've had in Fiji. Michelle you are a star! I'll be back xx

Made payment for hair and make up for 7 people for a wedding that cannot go ahead due to covid and No service received, asked for products to cover some of my money and was refused. Careful when booking expecially now that the pandemic is unpredictable and this business won't refund or give you anything for money even when it's over $500fjd. Money wasted trusting this business.

Ludy did an amazing job of doing our make up for our wedding on Mana Island. She was heavily pregnant so cannot thank her enough for making the trip out you did a great job and hope everything with bub is going well! Lydia was great at communicating from the get go. Totoka is excellent to deal with and would highly recommend anyone have weddings in Fiji to use them!

I highly recommend using totoka for your fiji wedding. I was terrified of what to expect when booking bridal hair and make up for my destination wedding. I was immediately put at ease when i attended my trial. Arieta and kajal worked tirelessly to ensure i had the hair and make up i dreamed of for my special day. A big thank you to Arieta and Kajal for making me feel so beautiful on my big day. I hope many more brides get the chance to experience your magic!

Lydia did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my big day! She was so sweet and kept me comfortable through the process. She did exactly what I asked and made sure that both would last through the night! I highly recommend her and Totoka overall!

The day of my wedding was almost ruined because of totoka. Last Saturday my family and guests travelled to Fiji. I got married at The Outrigger Resort and I made the payment for my hair and makeup, guests and x5 bridesmaids the evening before. I admit that I was running around receiving guests who were flying in and kids and organising last minute things with my wedding coordinator who is very well known to Totoka. I had already confirmed that I was going ahead with the appointment as I was speaking to Lydia 2 weeks prior. Morning of my wedding 10am, it was confirmed by Totoka that they had received my payment and therefore they will be coming in later at 11.30am. I accepted due to the late payment that I had made. 11.45am waited with my bridesmaids for Totoka to arrive, Va my wedding coordinator came to my room and advised that they had cancelled.there was no legitimate good reason given. This is by far a brides worse nightmare, I ran 30mins late for my wedding and had no choice but to ask all my bridesmaids to do their own hair. I will never recommend Totoka, I am yet to post and warn other bridesmaids of my worst experience.

I am not one who uses makeup or styles her hair devotedly everyday but Totoka has showcased that makeup is not a tool to make an ugly thing beautiful, but instead to magnify the beauty that already exists!

Therefore, I absolutely recommend Totoka to anyone who believes in amplifying the beauty you already have for any occasion.

However, please aware yourself of the conditions that are offered with their services to avoid disappointment.

Ludy from Totoka came to my hotel room for my wedding day and made myself and my family look absolutely stunning, she is a very polite and kind soul to have around on your big day. My curls held all night and even the next day so there is no need to be worried about that (suppose every person has different hair though) the makeup was great and looked amazing. Lydia and the team were easy to deal with via email in the lead up to the event and everything was a breeze, you do need to prepay everything though so make sure you budget that. I also used their spray tan the day before my wedding, then lightly exfoliated it two hours later and it left me with a nice subtle tan with zero orange streaks on hands and feet which I always usually get so I would recommend this if you do not want a very dark or obvious tan. Will attach a pic to help you.

I decided to have my hair and makeup done by Totoka Hair and Makeup for my wedding in december 2018. My best friend also had her makeup done and they did my daughter’s hair and gave her some blush on the day as she was a flowgirl. We were staying at the Outrigger resort and they came there to complete our appointments.

Ludy was my stylist and she was brilliant! The whole team were helpful from start to finish and communicated really well with me throughout the planning. Ludy was early to arrive on the day, which was great and finished ahead of schedule which gave us some time to relax prior to the big event. She was so helpful with tips on colours and style and also brought a little speaker to play some music whilst we got ready which was great. I had sent through images of hairstyles I was after and they were thankful for that as it gave them something to work off. The pricing was very reasonable also. I am so happy I chose Totoka for my hair and makeup and would highly recommend them to future brides.

LOVE - Been here only 3 times and leave every time feeling great. My washes are always very relaxing and have never had a better head massage anywhere. Lydia is the best! They always blow my hair out exactly as I want it. Highly recommend!
