Okay Chinese food, okay service. Good central location by the water, but don’t walk home by yourself after dark.

Waited pretty long for food to be served. Food is fine. When paying they overcharged (i always calculate the total beforehand).

Nice food and atmopshere on the water front. Service is friendly with indoor and outdoor seating.

Somewhat authentic Chinese seafood. Nice and large seating that's comfortable for plus size people

The staff including the older owner will literally fight you- they get their orders wrong, even with 2 tables waiting times can be about 40 minutes, food doesnt even vaguely feel Chinese, just an all around poor show tbh.

For the price we paid (about $71 for 2 people hich we realised was overcharged by $20 for some noodles), it was not worth it. Rice in a small bowl for $2.50 was goopy and overcooked. Chicken dish tasted more of corn flour and sodium.

Then, in the middle of it all, we heard back-end staff arguing away.

Save your money, time, effort and energy and go to Yum Yum at Kundan Singh for better Asian cuisine at a much better price and atmosphere. Trust me, and the Facebook reviews.

My favorite dishes at this place has to be the Sichuan whole fish. Their wonton soup and eggs with prawns (foo young) are also recommended. Friendly staff in a clean air conditioned environment

Food was quite satisfying, nothing special. Service was bad or maybe absent. Drinks were ok. Average place but definitely worth a visit.

Very Poor Service. Lack of staffs and those that are present are not presentable at all.
Had to wait for 15 mins for a staff to finally attend us.
Not recomending this place at all.

Shanghai Seafood restaurant at JJs is at a convenient location. There is ample parking available outside. The decor and ambience has a feel of a typical chinese restaurant. It may seem over decorated and a bit crowded because of the decor.
It has a nice bar at one end with a small balcony attached the building overlooking Ratu Sukuna park. The frontage looks out over the Suva bay but you are unable to take advantage of this when seated in the restaurant.
The food is reasonably priced and is cooked well.the food is quite tasty. Patrons may need to be careful when leaving the restaurant in the evenings as there are many people around in the adjacent park and surrounding area.

Had a sweet and sour fish. Sauce was too sour then ordered a vegetable soup and found there was chicken strips inside when we clearly asked the waiter vegetable soup waiter nodded wrote the order and left. Service was very bad waiter brought Jug of water. I pour my glass and found his finger prints all over the the tip of my glass asked waiter to wash or change later brought my glass back all wet waiter didn't even wipe it down i didn't bother to ask.
Top it all off half way into our dish then found a RAT running around like Jerry while we were eating. Didn't say for long!

Been here twice, while the service is pretty good the food is not so much. Or probably dependent on persons taste, the only thing I loved of this place was the sweet chicken corn soup.
The drinks are pretty cheap too depending on what you getting, there’s a huge selection and seating area. Parking is close and free after 5ish!

Needs better security! My family went to have dinner, another guest swore at my dad and things escalated. My little sister was there she got scared. Someone who works in the restaurant mentioned that person is mentally not well, if they know he is mentally not well why let him inside the restaurant? This is just poor management! Where is the safety of guests? Kindly improve your security thanks!

Shanghai Seafood House which is located at JJs beside Sukuna park. It is in a central location, just behind McDonalds. My first impression of the restaurant was that it had an ambient (relax and calm feel to it) bright but just right. A bar is located to your left as you enter from the McDonalds and the washrooms on the right. The first four tables from across the bar and set parallel to the path leading to the front or lower section of restaurant, have wide individual chairs in a space that is less then ideal to sit patrons comfortably. They need to replace those chairs or manage that space by having one less table.

The food order which was two chicken and one pork dish and three min bowls of rice (sold separately) at a cost $78.50. I don't mind paying a little extra, for good food that is palatable but the food here was not that good frankly I have had better at half the cost. The food was off to my taste, I just didn't feel, they do just for the amount they charge in terms of quality and no way close to the quantity most of us consume.

This is my first and last at this restaurant.

Exceptionally yummy food but there has been an increase in its pricing just recently. Servers could be more friendly.

The service was pathetic. The waiters were more attentive towards large groups of people and didn't pay much attention to pairs. Food was brought in late. Rice was cold and a bit burnt. The sizzling chicken felt like it was just warmed up before being served and not freshly cooked. Had to wait another 30 minutes for the next dish to arrive. It had too much salt. The fruit cocktail was warm. No ice added.
Also, the waiters were running around looking confused. They didn't use a pen and paper to note down our orders. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

Slightly on the more expesive range, however food is worth it. They have a huge range of seafood dishes and poultry and meat. Good service.

Lovely ambience and absolutely delicious Chinese cuisine to boot. Highly recommend if you're looking for a some good Chinese seafood cuisine.

The customer service is pathetic here. One of the staff is very arrogant. They did not provide complimentary dessert (fruit). And when asked they did get the fruits but banged it on the table!

Try the cod in sweet and sour sauce, serves an entire fish which takes about 45 minutes to be served but definitely is worth the wait. The ambience of the place is very average, I recommend sitting outside which gives a fresh feel to the place. You have to climb a long stairway to get there so not recommended for people not up for a climb.

It's ok. Decent selection of food. Service needs to be improved though. Orders were not taken right.
