New Mavida Lodge

I recently returned to Levuka and stayed at the  Mavinda Lodge again. The hotel is centrally located within a 5-minute leisurely walk to town, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding ocean and within a beautifully kept garden. As usual I opted for the quaint English-style wooden cottage next to the new wing and main reception. The wooden cottage architecture of the hotel blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings, set within a well-manicured garden creating a cozy and charming atmosphere & provided a truly authentic experience.  Well-kept rooms include all the conveniences for a comfortable stay.
The Mavinda Lodge team (Joanne & her team) are pleasant and attentive, always willing to help with any requests or queries. They enhance the whole experience by making guests feel welcomed and cared for throughout their stay. The attention to detail in the service offered by the staff adds to the hotel's charm and genuineness. Overall, it was a one-of-a-kind and beautiful experience that I highly suggest to anyone visiting Levuka, Fiji. I will certainly return to Mavinda Lodge in the future for another comfortable and enjoyable stay. The warm hospitality and exceptional service provided by Joanne and her team truly made my time at the lodge unforgettable.

We had a great time staying at New Mavida Lodge, absolutely loved Levuka. Though the lodge was very quiet in most evenings but maybe that reflects the nature of Levuka beautiful and very peaceful. My only input for improvement is, if the kitchen staff could put out the Papaya (pawpaw) onto the tables WHEN the guests arrive for their breakfast and NOT earlier as this attracts flies into the table before being eaten or if they do bring out the papaya earlier please cover them awaiting guests arrival. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the service from New Mavida Lodge.

It was a wonderful experience to stay at Mavida this past weekend. My wife noted that it was the first time we encountered actually white towels without stains. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast delicious and our conversations with Joanne, the manager, insightful.

The Mavida lodge is immaculately maintained and one can't imagine a better hostess than Joana.

Stayed at the New Mavida Lodge in May 2023, it was a fabulous place to stay with a warm welcome, very clean rooms, a great view of the ocean from the room I stayed in and a fantastic breakfast that set me up for the day. All the staff were very helpful and it is situated in easy reach from the ferry terminal in Levuka.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the New Mavida Lodge in Levuka. I have to give a special shout out to the owner, Joanne. From the moment I arrived, Joanne went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and her warmth made me feel right at home. 
The lodge is located in a beautiful, peaceful setting by the shore, and my room, spacious, clean, and well-appointed.

Overall, I would highly recommend the New Mavida Lodge to anyone who finds themselves in Levuka. Thank you Joanne for adding to a cherished time in Fiji!

We enjoyed our stay at Mavida very much. It's a beautiful place, very clean and the location is perfect - everything is in walking distance. Joanne and her staff are super nice and helpful with everything. The breakfast was great too, a perfect start to the day exploring lovely Levuka.

Trying to get in touch to make a reservation is not a very good experience. Have been trying to get a reservation from Friday by sending an email but there is no response. The number given is either switched off or no one is answering. It would be great to be able to get responses to our emails or even phone calls.

My family and friends and I had a wonderful mini-holiday.
Your accommodations and staff were wonderful allowing us to feel very comfortable.
We hope to drop by early in the new year.

After traveling the world, i just love the New Mavida Lodge! From its amenities, rooms, continental breakfast, laundry service, it’s very friendly and loving staff etc etc.it will not disappoint you! Thank you Joanne and your exceptional staff. We will be back next year!

This is one of the best places to stay whilst touring Levuka.
I loved every bit of it.would have been a certain 5 star if breakfast time would have been longer in the day.still would recommend this stay place and would love to come back again.

I was part of a group of 11.
Spent 3x nights @ The New Mavida. Had the most enjoyable time.
Location is on the main Street iand s a walking distance to town where the stores and restaurants are.
And also very close to the School that we were visiting.
Very friendly staff from the Front Office, Room maids and Kitchen staff. Laundary service is also available.
Would recommend this place if you're visiting Levuka.
