Nausori Town reviews
38Very Dusty. But good to have a local fijian experience through food at the market places and the people.
Needs clean public washrooms, clean bus station areas, and the main streets to attract visitors from overseas.
Thank you,
Nausori Municipal Market is the place to visitthe cleanest matketin Fiji with the best fresh produce on offer at very affordable price.
Great place to visit if you looking for fruits and vegetables. Also some great restaurants. But very busy with traffic
Nausori is good but very busy cause population in creasing and the is still the same size as 50 years ago
Nausori is my home town, known as the Town of the three provinces (Naitasiri, Rewa & Tailevu)
Very busy on Saturday as shops open early and close at 7pm or 8pm during festive season.
On Wednesday, Nausori Town closes @ 1pm
Great place to be. Cleaner then Suva and the foodstuff in the market is cheaper although the footpath is in poor condition and narrow but still way better than the city.
Items in butcher and market sold at cheaper prices
This town is nice, it has a lot of shops and markets to meet practically everyone's needs. However, it is always busy and congested.
Nausori Town is situated next to the Rewa River and caters to the provinces of Tailevu, Rewa and Naitasiri making it an ideal place for fresh produce and vegetables along with other food stuff suited to the Fijian palate. Comparatively less metropolitan than Suva but still on its way to substantial development, the town is a great place for those who wish to take time and explore, as it is more slow paced. Boasting the same shops and supermarkets as you would find in Suva, Nausori can be an ideal experience for many. Accessible transport via bus, vans and taxis the town is also one of the most traveled in the country. One of my favorite towns given its appeal and relaxed pace.
It's great. Has almost every branch of essential business, gov't and legal offices such as FNPF and Legal Aid. However, I'm giving this a solid 3 because when it's hot it gets quite humid and the lack of trees within the town-centre makes the heat unbearable. It's a literal concrete jungle.
Could use a bit more cleaning. I witness a brawl at night when boarding the bus at the bus stand.
Fresh vegetables from.the market.a lot of which still is $1.00 expensive in suva. Also enjoyed Jalebi n ladoo from bhikha bhai.
It is a very nice place to vist.you will find everything you need.there are supermarkets, Clothes shop, Banks, ATM, Restaurant and etc
Prices of goods and services are of good standard but the town is very dusty and can get overcrowded in some places.
Has a good Municipal market with a spacious carpark. A variety of hardware stores within walking distance.
You really need to be familiar with roads here as some places are one way junctions.
Best thing is that you can always ask passer-by for directions.
Banks, supermarkets, markets, car parks are all here.
Best place to shop for preloved clothes, within budget and if you love fijian food, Nausori is the best place to get it from.
I've always preferred Nausori town over Nadi. Business is all concentrated in one place and not scattered over different locations where you have to catch another bus/taxi to get to. Supermarkets are accesible, market is right across the street and is in close proximity to the bus station. I know Nausori is expanding so a Public library will hopefully be on the horizon and a cinema too.
Being exposed to Suva and Lautoka City, nausori town is not my ideal shopping destination. The food joint options are not great either
