Flying Fin Restaurant n' Bar Fiji

We were staying at the Shangri-la when someone mentioned this restaurant. It was by far the best food of our trip, and possibly some of the best Butter Chicken and fish we've eaten. We've been fortunate to eat at some of the most incredible restaurants around the world, and the food here is honestly up there.

We were incredibly impressed by the free pick-up by the restaurant, and then the friendly service of all the staff. We loved seeing the local village and knowing we were supporting a family business (not just a large scale corporate resort).

Strongly recommend anyone staying in the vicinity to go. We look forward to coming back with our family and friends next year. Thank you for making our last night in Fiji the best!

Amazing food, very western dishes and great service, Highly recommended for a meal when you are staying in the Coral coast.

This place is fantastic!
If you are staying at Shangri-la Yanaka Island, this is a must go to.
The snapper was delicious as was the crayfish.
We have booked again for a few days' time and pre-ordered the 3 teir seafood platter. Can't wait!

Fantastic seafood, particularly the lobster and mud crab. We came back twice as it was sooooooo good! Very friendly and happy vibe. Cocktails were also delicious and on the stronger side. Highly recommended.we will be back and recommended all our friends.
When busy though, you might need to be patient and enjoy a cocktail while the staff get around to you.worth the wait.

The atmosphere was great with a oceanic kind of vibe with gentle and not overwhelming music and some truly amazing paintings

We had the kids fish and chips which you really can’t go wrong with and for the adults salt and pepper squid which is described as delicious with the perfect combination of squid and aioli
The seafood coconut bake set us off with a bang and filled our palates with a lasting taste of rich coconut cream and seafood medley
The real highlight of the meal was the grilled snapper that melted in your mouth because the fish was fresh that day!
To my surprise this restaurant the flying fin was a star shining brighter than the rest. Overall the flying fin was a massive hit with all the taste buds and all the family

We had a wonderful experience at Flying Fin. The food was exceptional. Fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, Sophisticated flavours with an atmosphere that is warm, friendly and laidback. We ordered a range of meals and all were fantastic! Thanks for a perfect first night in Fiji xx

Flying Finn is awesome! We were on holidays staying at the Shangrila and the food at flying finn was so much better! They accommodated for about 20 of us, played music for us, served us amazing cocktails and the food was just awesome. I had the fish curry and it was yummmm. The staff were so much fun! Thanks guys

The food was delectable the best mahimahi ever and the service cheerful and hospitable. There was a bit of a wait but they were full for the evening.

Unfortunately the insane noise and running by kids in and around the confined spaces was not. Definitely not the restaurants fault but we couldn't wait to eat and get out.

Excellent seafood, well presented and creative. The Paka Paka on Kumala with banana relish was divine. Seafood curry also excellent. Friendly fast service including pick up from our accommodation

Coming from the Shangri-la our expectations were high but we weren't disappointed by this gem nestled just off Queens Road about 5 minutes away from the resort.

We both had fresh local fish which tasted lovely, the atmosphere was relaxing but fun and the staff were all smiles.

We would recommend a visit here for a meal to anyone who is nearby!

Such a lovely lunch just after the restaurant had opened. As usual the locals were extremely lovely. Very yummy and fresh food for a decent price.

The restaurant arranged a free transfer for us from Shangri-La and was very easy to book.
The wait staff when we got to there were super friendly and the place was pretty full with a mix of locals and tourists which was good to see
We ordered the lobster to share with butter and it was absolutely delicious.
Prices are very good compared to the restaurant and it was good to get out to the nearby towns and support local.

A must do if staying nearby (eg Shangri-La). Amazing staff and a nice change for meals. Staff went above and beyond for our large group of 16. Seafood is fresh and the best food on the menu, pasta is not amazing. Prices are reasonable for tourists, great cocktails. We went twice, both great nights. Private transfer to and from restaurant provided by the restaurant, arranged from the hotel by the concierge- super easy.

Amazing fresh fish. We had the mahi mahi and the lobster. So delicious and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Highly recommended!

Beautiful food and wonderful staff. The calamari was especially delicious as an entree. Highly recommend checking this place out. It’s a great escape from the Shangri-La. You can call or text for a free return trip from the resort.

Very happy. Complimentary transfer from the Shangri-La. Squid and Mahi Mahi were sensational. Kids well looked after. Ice cream serve was huge.
