Fijis Finest Tours

Never, ever, ever, ever, EVER use this tour company. We paid for a private boat to take us snorkeling, thinking it would be nice to treat ourselves after we missed the catamaran by 5mins. We paid $845 for two people, for 5 hours. The tour operator got on her mobile to organize it for us. We paid the money, they told us to buy a towel ($40 at Jacks) and bring some lunch and wine, as they would have a cooler on board. We were then greeted by a tin dingy that nearly threw us overboard in the roughest seas. They didn't tell us about the weather, or ocean conditions, or even the type of boat. It looks like we got hustled.badly. We felt like we were Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips. The captain and crew member didn't ask us if we were ok. We got smacked by waves, our $40 towel was soaking wet and we ended up battered, bruised and traumatized. We were taken out to a location that was 90 mins away from Port Denarau and we went snorkeling for 15 mins. They anchored too close to the coral and I got my leg teared by just stepping off the ladder into the ocean. They said we would have to wait for a big boat to come by to take us back so we could cruise in their wake. All that came was the Manolo express which didn't cut the waves up enough, so we got smashed back by the waves again. We didn't get to eat or have lunch after they said they would take us to a private island and use resort facilities. It was the biggest crock of s#IT ever. We went back to the tour office to let them know we had a terrible experience, a different lady was there and she said "Personally i would not have booked that for you because it's so rough out there, and the captain has to tell you the water conditions and the type of boat before they accept/take you out". I feel bad leaving this review because I know they have to hustle tourists to make money and feed their family, but not at the expense of safety. That experience ruined the whole trip as we couldn't physically move for the next 4 days. Not everyone here would hire a private boat (tin can dingy) but the fact that none of the tour operators cared about our safety is why I'm leaving this review. AVOID. It made me miss home where there's at least regulation and consumer laws.

We booked a good number of tours, transfers and accommodations with them - all great deals - and the staff had been super helpful and effective. Vinaka!
