Colo-I-Suva Forest Park reviews
55 An amazing nature park to visit which is only 20mins from Suva city.
They have trails, waterfalls, and a great big natural pools to swim in.
Very safe as they have a central car park with security and bush rangers monitoring throughout the park
Great place to chill out with family and friends. If you'd to walk in the forest with waterfalls than this is the place to go.
Wonderful place for a picnic and walking
Bring food and drinks and swing off a rope into a deep rockpool
Amazing place. You can walk, hike, swim in the fresh water, observe fascinating waterfalls and Barbecue if you want.
BREATHTAKING!
I had never thought of Suva to offer much of the interior and hiking wonders but this forest park changed my perspectiveThis park is a natural beauty and has very relaxing, fun and mesmerizing ambience. Superb hiking tracks which offer tourists, visitors, hikers and the kids also; alot to experience. A great hang out location to have a relaxing and awesome picnic day out with friends and family. The visit was totally worth the while and I recommend to enjoy ever moment blissfully and to da maximum while at the park️
Great swimming spot for tourists and locals. Such a peaceful place with an amazing view. Would recommend that visitors to the place go in groups for safety reasons. Enjoyed every bit of it at Colo i Suva!
I Love This Place?
I'm from India luckily got chance to visit here with my uncle he's from Nausori fiji.
Enjoyed myself here beautiful waterfall sexy view scary pathway.
Best rope jump.
It's becoming an eye shore to see the public littering the park. Please pick up your rubbish and put them in the bin.
Its a good place to take your family and friends for a picnic. There are natural water pools in the park and are good for swimming.
Naturally beautiful, good hiking tracks for kids above 7 and adults, waterfalls with swimming pools. Mind blowing Park. Very relaxing full day picnic activity.
It a place to enjoy a good time with family and friends. There is space for parking and places to eat, also to take vibrant photos in its natural surroundings.
Not going again, water is dirty, tracks are Dangerous and in need of repairs. In need of serious attention.
The best nature walk in Suva. Easily accessible with loads of parking space, showers, toilets and shaded seating be it under thatched grass roofs or under giant trees.
We stopped here on a tour and it was great. You have a little hike down. You have the option of going to the upper pool or the lower pool. We stayed at the upper pool and just relaxed. To see more, visit my YouTube channel Morgancita
Why I like this place? I like the challenge of having to walk all the way in for starters. And the berating myself that follows for thinking that this was going to be a walk in the park (pun intended). They had upgraded some parts of the park in 2018 and there are upper and lower pools available (natural pools let me clarify that). Its just what you need if you don't want too bad a tan from a day's cooling off at the beach. If you'd like their are even tour guides to elaborate on the diversity of the parks flora and fauna. For us locals it's usually just a great place to cool off.
Highly recommended for a break from downtown Suva! The trail goes through the jungle and mostly follows a stream that feeds several natural swimming pools. It’s about a 30 minute taxi ride from Holiday Inn/GPH area and there is a security booth where you pay ~$5 FJD per person to enter. The park staff were very helpful and even gave us a ride to the trail head from the main entrance. Most of the trail was pretty well maintained and not very strenuous to walk, though the Big Dakua Track got very muddy and involved many stairs. (Also we never did see the big Dakua tree?)
Loved the hiking trail, cool water and the sights
It's a great place to chill and relax in Suva. Nice place for group tours, hiking, swimming and bbq's
This place is being exploited on a huge scale by the locals and as well as people that visit this place. If the community who's responsible for looking after this place do not enforce in some restrictions and put on simple regulations with fines and penalties, there won't be much left seeing for this place.
A Forest Reserve where you'd love to walk through and enjoy the coolness of the forest and the pools
Our family had an awesome day here! We drove as we had a hire car. $20 admission for 4. Started at the upper pools and walked the river to the lower pools. Swam in a waterfall! So beautiful definitely worth a visit.
