Cloud 9 Fiji

The worst place in the world! Bad service! Bad food! Even They do not allow you to order two pizza.

I was really excited to visit Cloud 9 but the experience was the worst time I had while in Fiji. There is no dj. They have a playlist that is probably played off an ipod. The drinks are expensive which is understandable, but the pour is less than 30ml per drink. My wife and I had 3 drinks in 2 hours and we were cut off from staff. When we tried to order water instead they simply said they were out of water. So we were stuck on a barge for 2 hours with no refreshment and no explanation as to why they would no longer serve us. The snorkeling is atrocious as well. There is no reef within swimming distance from the barge, but they will gladly take your money for the gear so you can look at sand. I I would recommend Mala Mala or Beachcomber if you are looking for a nice day trip. This place is a joke. Don't waste your money.
Edit: Someone replied that we brought our own alcohol. This is a laughable reply as we had a $270 bill. Why on Earth would anyone ring up $270 if they brought their own. Why would anyone want to buy more alcohol if they brought their own? The person running this account is about as clueless as they come.

The vibe of Cloud 9 is at odds with its setting. We went at 10am to beat the crowds but from the moment of arrival we were in a zoo of humanity. There isn’t enough space for the amount of people on board and it is loud everywhere with nowhere to sit, relax and read or chat. There was no snorkelling gear available. The majority of people seemed to only want to jump/dive into the water continuously rather than swim and explore the reef. We saw 5 large sea turtles and a lot of beautiful tropical fish. I’d recommend it for the diving but not for the partying. It’d be better to go to a night club.

The food was good but it’d be better if they served indigenous food that is more environmentally aware. The napkins from the pizza were in the water everywhere.

The signature cocktails were really bad. Not mixed well and tasted simply like strong cheap liquor and syrup. Not even very pretty either.

There are no lifeguards which was surprising as there is a strong current ripping through there. If your friends are not confident in the water then keep an eye on them.

It’d be a huge improvement if people could book a sun lounger in advance (for 1 person or a group) and there were seperate areas for partying and relaxation or different times of day. Guided dives/snorkelling experiences would be great too. A morning stretching class on the sparkling water would be amazing (you should always stretch before diving).

There are plenty of bad night clubs that cater to college/university freshmen around the world so I’m unsure why this restaurant aspires to have that vibe.

Got bored 20 minutes in. Wish it didn’t have to be a 3 hours stay. The bartenders are like it’s first week at work. Only 1 toilet cubicle was operational.
Could be a interesting place for people never visited similar places like Vanuatu or Maldives.

Cool concept, good location, drinks are $$$$$, music was very dull. Guests mentioned the music to the staff but were told the DJ also owned the boat and wasn’t receptive to feedback

It was closed for renovation when I wanted to visit. Forty-five minutes by boat from Port Denarau, a two-level platform floating in bright blue Fijian waters. As well as a sophisticated bar and wood-fired pizza restaurant, the dreamy venue offers snorkelling, jetskiing and paddle-boarding (activities need to be booked prior to arrival). Choose from daybeds, deck chairs or hanging seats for maximum relaxation.

Went to Cloud 9 yesterday, the weather was perfect when we arrived and the water was absolutely stunning, turquoise and clear! The only thing that let down the day for me was the music. I hate house /clubby music, put some proper music on with words if it's going to be blaring for 5 hours straight.

I'm sure most people love this place, however there isn't really much to do here. It's a bar without a mixer, pizza oven, and a line to go swimming out on.

A unique experience though.

We had a fun day, however music was boring. All the guests wanted different music but DJ and staff didn’t care, also, there was a DJ there who I think is also the owner, they didn’t even DJ, just had a sound cloud playlist going. Overall the concept is awesome, food is great but could have easily been 5 stars with better music

Limited seating, small with expensive weak drinks. Staff nice, probably best for 20-30 yrs. 3-4 hours plenty, the water is nice around the dock. Just small w very limited seating, 1 bar. Good pizza

This place is absolutely breathtaking. Made a few new friends and had the best time.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING!
Went snorkeling it was so beautiful, did lots of swimming and then took the plunge and jumped from the top rail of the ship.

I'll start with the good. What a great setting a beautiful place. Friendly staff. Loved the pizzas. Met some really neat people. Now the not so good. Found it very expensive even by fiji standards. Thought there could have been more activities to do such kayaking and paddleboarding. For me it was just a floating bar with swimming and lots of drunk people. These people were also allowed to bring more alcohol in glass bottles on the return boat resulting in broken glass and a cut foot for one customer. Where was management? Admittedly I'm not a big drinker but feel quite disappointed and wouldn't do it again. Thank you cloud 9 for the experience. Cheers Alan.

Great fun for a day trip, we saw a sea turtle which made our day and the chilled out vibes and pizza were awesome. There was plenty of space for everyone on the boat so you didn't feel packed in.

A bar floating over the reef.fantastic place to go with friends. 60 F$ per person and you are entitled to whatever you can afford for that price, great pizzas, good drinks, very comfortable place to have fun and relax

AVOID AT ALL COST. The staff will try and scam you. They ran up a bill and won’t let you leave if you dispute. My friend was also harassed by the staff. They were making rude comments about her and made everyone uncomfortable. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We had the most amazing experience at Cloud 9. The pizzas were delicious and so were the drinks. We jumped from the top of the platform which was fun and went snorkeling. We saw a couple of turtles! Thank you to the lovely staff and manager for the great service. And the color of the water is increfible: you have too go!

Great location, friendly staff but the drinks are really expensive (the 60fjd voucher they give you is worth 1.5 drinks) and no fishes at all, since we were quite far away from the reefs. The pizza is one of the best I've had in fiji though.

The place is simply amazing. Great food, music and drink options. World class, and a must visit!

Unfortunately it was windy & they still took us out. Was miserable. Much smaller than it looks in photos. Amazing pizza & cocktails tho. Plenty of fish if you like snorkeling.
