Ashiyana

My go-to Indian in Suva. Friendly, fast, and tasty. I miss the vindaloo, but the Rogan Josh is a reasonable replacement.

First time ordering from this restaurant and quite disappointed with the quantity and quality of food we have received. The curry taste ok and the tandoori roti has become hard and was not edible plus the Restaurant charged us FJD 5 for the delivery but honestly not worth it of FJD 85.

The food here was some of the best Indian I’ve ever eaten. Consistently great across the board. I can’t say the same for their cocktails but just get yourself a Fiji Gold beer. Enjoy!

Came here to celebrate my 60th birthday as we wanted to experience true Fijian indian cuisine in a great setting with special people. It delivered on all fronts. The staff are amazing, connecting and helped design a truly fabulous menu to celebrate this milestone. We had the shared mixed platter to start (wow loved this) and the chef made up a main which gave us 4 signature dishes that reflected their uniqueness here. (best ever Indian I have had) We finished with a spicy, aromatic icecream - so delicious. Thank you for making my birthday a very special one

Went for dinner.
Lamb was undercooked and hard which we returned to the kitchen
Chicken tikka masala was nice as always,

Finished the meal and then was asked if I could order something else instead of lamb.
So we just canceled it.

Appetizers were delicious and arrived within 15 minutes, food was served 10 minutes afterwards, very good service, friendly staff.
Good for buffet, family outing or business meeting brunches

Due to the tendency to get huge portions in Fiji, I opted to have the Afghan Chicken (a starter) with rice and a garlic naan bread. I'm pleased I did. The only thing I would comment on was that the food was not (temperature) hot but the flavours were great.
We chose to sit on the verandah, which was fun because we watched the Suva night life warming up!
Would I go back? Yes, I would.

Very excellent service with taste Indian food. Environment is beautiful and staffs are friendly. Price is affordable. I highly recommend to visit this restaurant in heart of Suva City. Easy to locate this place. Keep up the excellent service Ashiyana Team.

I am not much into Indian food but Ashiyana was great. Good food and neat place to have a nice dinner. Highly Recommended

The service has gotten worse! Absolutely terrible. They are critically understaffed for a Friday night.
Waiters forgot to take our order. We had to order at the counter.
We waited 1 hr for our hookah after we ordered!
Worst service ever! Do not come here by mistake!

One of the most unhygienic place in Suva. I'm a visitor from Canada and I drove all the way from Ba to Suva. Checked in the hotel and it was almost 9pm. Went to this Restaurant and the staffs have no customer service. We had to go to the front to order and also while eating found insects in the food. All the Indigenous female work there are very anti towards indo fijians. Dont deserve any tip and business. This place needs to shut down by Ministry of Health. Its bad for health.

Amaaaaazing. We loved it here, very very good Indian food, specially compared to what we found in Nadi. Also great service!

The ambiance and the food experience is really nice. However, it is quite a busy restaurant so there is a little wait on your order but it's all worth it. Staff are super friendly and quick on requests.

I didn't know that while being in Fiji I can enjoy tasty Pakistani foods. I like their Dhal makhni, Mughlai chicken and varieties of Naans. Though expensive but worth of it.

Pathetic service, me and my friends literally waited for more than 2 hours to get our food. Meanwhile no one came and attended us or informed us that it would take that long to get our food. The waiters didn't even come to check on us and offer water or drinks while waiting for food.

Best Indian restaurant in Suva, but small and popular, so make a reservation, especially on the weekend. Friendly staff, very reasonable prices.

Update 2021: Now in large premises upstairs in the same building, so can cater for larger parties in a more spacious location.

Enjoyed the buffet lunch. The naan bread n papadams finished, but the currys were delicious. Excellent service by the ladies serving us. Highly recommend.

Quantity and quality of food has gone down drastically from what it used to be.

Wouldn't recommend for dinner for family

Ashiyana has relocated and expanded their floorspace moving upstairs from their old location. The atmosphere has significantly improved and the food still has has that smooth rich and creamy profile that one expects from Ashiyana. Overall the seating capacity has more than tripped as well as the experience. A definite place to visit.
